Uniphase first introduced liquid silicone rubber (LSR) as one of our capabilities in 2019. LSR is highly biocompatible, meaning it works well when used with other materials. Most commonly used in the medical, automotive, and consumer markets, LSR is also highly durable, non-reactive and non-toxic. These qualities make LSR an ideal material for a wide range of industry applications. Uniphase designs and builds our tooling in-house to support this service as well.

We recently completed a conversion for a client in which a 2-piece EPDM gasket was made into a bondable LSR gasket.
